How heicly handles photos, website measurements, and browser storage.
Photos and downloads
Selected photos are decoded and converted in your browser. The converter does not upload them or store them on a server. Files and generated results remain available in the current page until it is refreshed or closed. Files you choose to download are stored on your device.
Website analytics
The converter pages can load Google Analytics 4 after an interaction when configured. Microsoft Clarity can also load in production. Our application sends events such as conversion status, duration, size ranges, output dimensions, batch counts, and downloads, with generated correlation identifiers. These events do not include photo bytes or file names. Clarity collects interaction and session data; the file areas are marked for masking.
Cookies and service providers
Local photo processing does not make the whole website anonymous or cookie-free. Analytics providers can process browser, device, network, and interaction information and may use cookies or other identifiers according to their settings. Cloudflare hosts the website and can process request data for delivery, security, and website analytics. Blocking analytics does not prevent conversion. Browser storage and your choices
The service worker caches website resources and the conversion engine for later visits and offline use. Photos are not added to that offline cache by the converter. You can clear this site's data in your browser to remove cached resources and site storage. Closing the tab clears current tasks and results; it does not delete downloaded JPGs or previously transmitted analytics data.
Scope
This notice describes the application's current behavior. Provider retention and cookie settings are managed separately from the photo converter. Do not use this page as a promise of legal compliance in every jurisdiction.
